04.01.2013 “April Fools Edition”

Note: Check back for more food updates throughout the day…

. . . .

Yesterday’s food intake was so-so… a bit of indulgence and abandon.

So, who’s the April Fool here?

I’m only fooling myself. So it’s time to get this fool back on track!

Originally, I decided to embark on the current dietary plan for two reasons:

  • 1. For health. Lower blood pressure and triglyceride levels (being repetitive but I’m always trying to remind myself). Also to lose weight and get in better physical condition by eating more nutritiously.
  • 2. For Lent. I was intent to observe the Lenten period by changing my diet. And, by eating several smaller meals my diet was a bit more disciplined and less will-nilly and haphazard.

The good thing about keeping a Food Journal is that I see exactly what I’m eating throughout the day. And making the Food Journal public forces me to be accountable for my actions. Also, keeping a Food Journal helps me check various factors like variety of foods, amount of foods, observe which foods work and make me feel healthier and give more energy, etc.

So, Lent and Easter are passed us now.

It’s time to continue improving and not fool myself. The goal is self-improvement, health and well-being.
