04.16.2013 “Aftermath Edition”

“Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all.”

Emily Dickinson

. . . .

For obvious reasons I didn’t want to say anything, but I’ve been out-of-town since last Saturday, venturing off to Baker, California to watch a law enforcement relay race that stretched 100 miles from Baker to Las Vegas, Nevada.

The event was grueling and it was in the desert with temperatures in the 90s. We stayed Saturday night in Las Vegas and drove back to Riverside, coming home to San Diego on Monday night.

It was very hard for me to eat my standard healthy diet but I got through it.

Now to try and fall back on track.
