“If music be the food of love, play on.” —William Shakespeare

. . . .

I listened to a LOT of music yesterday, but I neglected to share it on my blog.

Usually, my music listening can be divided into three areas:

  • 1. Listening intently to music for pleasure.
  • 2. Listening to music for study.
  • 3. Listening to music being played in the background while I’m working or doing something else.

I usually always have music playing in the background throughout the day, so whatever music playlists I post here are just excerpts of what I’ve been listening to on any given day.

I will study music for personal research or when learning a new song for a band.

Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of personal research on the music of the Renaissance period and other ancient eras. William Byrd and Hildegard Von Bingen are two composers that I’ve been focused on as far as ancient eras are concerned. There is a certain purity found in music of the Renaissance and other Ancient times.
