05.08.2013 “Last.fm 50K” Edition

“As long as the human spirit thrives on the planet, music in some living form will accompany it and sustain it and give it expressive meaning.”Aaron Copland

Update: I just passed the 50,000 mark on last.fm! [Look below!]

I’m sort of continuing my Copland Edition for today.

I admit I”m becoming obsessed with his music now, having downloaded one of his CDs that included his works: The Red Pony, El Salon Mexico, Three Latin American Sketches, and Our Town.

This CD is actually quite good, conducted by the composer himself. And performed by the New Phiharmonia Orchestra.
