Yesterday’s food journal entry turned out to be a mixed bag of the good and bad. Keep in mind that I did a gig last night which was extremely fun yet requiring lots of energy and stamina. So, sometimes I have certain cravings and last night it was two McChicken sandwiches.

But, I am truly committed to telling all in my food journal; the good as well as the bad. All I have to say is that I think I’m still eating better than Michael Phelps in a way, as he consumes something like 12,000 calories a day on stuff like pizza, egg sandwiches, ham and cheese sandwiches with mayonaise, and lots of pasta and energy drinks. Well, for him it’s necessary to consume as much calories as possible during training so perhaps he’s an exception.

So, once-in-a-while I think it’s okay for me to down a few McChicken sandwiches, given the calories I had been expending. And didn’t I promise I would be completely honest regarding the food journal?

Anyway, today I rebound back…

Breakfast – 6:30am

Oatmeal ~ 1/3 cup oats, 1/2 cup water, with blueberries & blackberries
Tangerine ~ 1 small

Beverage – 8:30am

Starbucks Mocha ~ grande, half-caf, no whip

Mid-Morning – 10:30am

Made spaghetti for the family. Had to taste a little bit to make sure it was just right.

Spaghetti ~ 1 cup
Tangerine ~ 1 small

Lunch – 1pm

**SPECIAL LUNCH**

Today's Lunch with Genmai-cha Tea

This is a special lunch because I was able to go to the Japanese Market and get some fresh food, etc. And, I finally bought some Genmai-cha Tea! It adds to the variety of my teas and the Genmai-cha Tea is now a favorite!

Nigiri Sushi ~ raw (hamachi, sake, unagi)
Gyoza ~ steamed (shrimp)
Kappamaki ~ sushi (cucumber, yellow squash, purple squash)
Vegetables ~ steamed (broccoli, carrots)
Miso Soup ~ 1 cup
Genmai-cha Tea ~ 1 cup

Afternoon Tea – 4pm

Japanese Version of English Tea Time

Nigiri Sushi ~ cooked (2 unagi)
Gyoza ~ 1 pc, crescent
Kappamaki ~ 2 pc (pickled cucumber & radish)
Asian Pear ~ 1/4, diced
Miso Soup ~ 1 cup
Genmai-cha Tea ~ 1 cup

Snack – 5pm

Tangerines ~ 2 small

Dinner
