100% Raw – Day 16 – Yesterday

Yesterday (actually Day 15) I started running out of certain foods so I had to start getting creative, especially since I ran out of lettuce leaves.

Yesterday’s Breakfast

  • 2 Apples – Juiced
  • 2 carrots – Juiced
  • 1 handful of Walnuts

Yesterday’s Lunch

  • Refreshing Raw Salad with Spinach, sliced Onions and Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Blueberries, Sprouts.
  • Glass of Purified Water

Yesterday’s Dinner

  • I made the Egg-less Egg Salad from Matt Amsden’s “Rawvolution” book. No, it didn’t taste anything like a real Egg Salad, but it was amazing! To-Die-For… and I mixed it with Chives and lots of Broccoli.
  • 2 Carrots – Juiced

Notes On How I Felt

Yesterday I did nothing else but clean all over the house, vacuuming first floor and second floor, the stairs, mopped the tiles, clean the bathrooms, cleaned all over the house, literally. And I was able to still practice piano for a couple of hours.

I felt I had a lot of energy and the carrot juice and cucumber juice really gives me a lot of energy. I didn’t have a Cacao-Banana Smoothie yesterday because I ran out of bananas. So, I didn’t have the “superfood” type of high-energy as usual. Still, I was able to work very hard all day without really stopping.

I’m finding that it’s important to test certain foods and how they make me feel, and what kind of immediate energy I am getting from them. The Raw Journey is exciting in that sense as I am finding out which raw foods work the best for me, for energy and performance.

. . . .

Today…

So far I’m having a good day.

For Breakfast

  • 1 Apple – juiced
  • 2 Carrots – juiced

For Lunch

  • 1 Large Fresh Raw Salad – various lettuce leaves, spinach, olives, carrots, cucumbers, avocado with Creamy Garlic Dressing
  • 1 Cacao-Banana Smoothie

I’ve accomplished a lot of errands this morning, and I picked up the Honey Baked Ham for the family (of course, something I won’t be eating) and did grocery shopping, and picked up my musician earnings. Now to rest, clean more then go to the bank to deposit my money.

Wow, Carlos! You are doing so great. It’s hard to believe how much time has passed by already with you on your 100% raw journey!

I love the eggless salad, too. I like eating it on a bed of baby spinach. Yum!

    Happy ThanksLiving to you!

thanks again, Wendi, for your support and encouragement.

it’ll be interesting today since i’m the only raw vegan in my extended family. But family get-togethers like this are important.

but i definitely will try the eggless salad on a bed of baby spinach. that sounds yummy! :o)
