Just A Connection To The Outside World
Above is my mobile link to the outside world… my Blackberry Curve which I had traded up to back in May when my two-year contract was up with T-Mobile. This is my essential tool for the working musician! I keep track of my gigs, my earnings and expenses, etc, etc…
The five icons at the bottom of the screen are for: Address Book, Calendar, Tasks (my ToDo list), Gmail and Facebook. The background pic is actually the keys of my Yamaha C2 Conservatory Grand Piano, there to remind me that I must practice, practice, practice!
So now they have the Blackberry Storm and the Bold, and they have the new iPhone 3G. But, I’m happy with this “old” Blackberry. It does the job.

A Saturday With My Wife
So, today I feel good. And looking forward to the gig tonight!
practicing playing piano in the morning, I did some errands with my wife today, we went to lunch at Sushi Ki in La Jolla and I had a large Avocado-Mango Salad with fresh ginger dressing, and water.
Then we went shopping at UTC for a few hours. My wife bought a nice pair of Betsy Johnson designer sunglasses at 40% off, and I bought a pair of gloves with the fingers cut off ($6 at Sport Chalet). Talk about frugal shopping, eh?
Bad Economy? Everyone’s Still Shopping!
Well, we know the economy is still bad out there and we’re trying to be as frugal as possible. And keeping our expenses down. Finally got rid of the land line. Trying to find other ways to reduce our monthly expenses. But… food is something we don’t go cheap on. We still try to buy the freshest produce, organic, wholesome raw foods… otherwise we’d be eating macaroni and cheese, SPAM and Corn Beef from the can, and Top Ramen. Very cheap foods but not healthy at all.
100% Raw – Day 20
So, here’s what I had today:
3 small apples (juiced)
1 Mango Avocado Salad
1 glass water with lemon
1 cup Himalayan Goji Berry trail mix
1 plate of Pasta Alfredo (zucchini noodles with raw alfredo sauce)
1 raw cacao smoothie (with 1 large strawberry added)
