blogging from the pyramid
March 19, 2005 by randomguru
I’m blogging from the Luxor pyramid in Las Vegas.
The drive from San Diego to Las Vegas was the same as usual… uneventful.
Our “pyramid room” overlooks Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. So, it’s kinda cool. I like the architecture of the Pyramid. I like the hollow part inside and the additional buildings within the pyramid.
Although we had to change rooms from the 8th floor to the 12th floor because the previous room had the strong odor of cigarette smoke *cough cough*, plus there were these reddish stains on the floor that freaked us out! I’m assuming they were fruitpunch stains caused by some kid who wasn’t too careful, or had a temper tantrum. And… I don’t want to think of anything else other than that.
Anyways, we’ll check out a buffet dinner in a little while, probably the one downstairs, then walk up and down “the strip” and just check things out. I don’t gamble (really never had any inclination to), so I’ll save a bunch of money in that area. But we’ll end up eating at these all-you-can-eat buffets and I’ll need to go on a diet afterwards. *sigh*
The food here in Vegas is always awesome!
Okay. Gonna chill out for a bit with the family, then head on out the door and become a part of the Las Vegas scene.
And yes, high-speed internet access in a Las Vegas hotel room definitely keeps me from climbing the walls!

um… it’s raining in las vegas!!!
so, we can actually walk around between Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay, indoors without ever going out into the street.
have you seen “O?” if you haven’t hopefully you can catch it one day. it is gorgeous, and funny, and the talent is just amazing.
Very cool Carlos, the BlueMan group is a great show that the Kids could see too!!
