the big garage sale weekend is over!
April 18th, 2005
Does my face show the expression of ache and pains from head to toe? Man, garage sales are a lot of work and ours was held on two days, Saturday and Sunday, but actually started on Thursday, doing the preparation part.
Every muscle in my body is aching right now. At least it’s all over and we’ve decided not to have another garage sale for a very, very long time. I may look like I’m hurtin’ but I’m happy inside.
The joy, however, is in being able to put a car in our garage. Yes. For months and months we couldn’t put our car in the garage because it was simply full of junk and old furniture (especially the old furniture). We were fortunate in being able to sell about 95% of the stuff we put on sale. But I just had to put a couple of old computer books back in the house because I simply couldn’t bear to part with them.

nice, carlos! we’ve always wanted to have a garage sale, but never got around to organizing one. and i eventually moved to the bay area, and then chicago, but will be back in socal soon. yay! maybe my sis and i will plan one someday. ;P 95% sold, that is wonderful. :) but yes, i can imagine how it would be something you’d only do once, or once in a very long while. i say, ask your wife/sons to give you a full body massage!! hah.

*hugs* XD At least you got everything sold… I live out in the boonies so a garage sale won’t work. :/
