Oouch! We have been saving repairs till I was working again and we have a long list. New front door, new kitchen (the fridge is on it's last legs, the dish washer died 3 years ago, the cupboards are looking bad), our pool cover motor died last year, my car has 140,000 miles on it and the list goes on.

But, I am very happy your PC was "only" $318. That was a good deal! Life goes on.......

actually, according to the computer repair man, he said he kind of lost money in labor because he quoted me $318 and the parts ended up being a lot more, because it was for an apple computer... so, i guess i got a good deal. so no worries. :)

i heard that it would cost around $1000 to replace the entire laptop screen simply because it's titanium.

a friend of mine has the same powerbook and his cost that much to repair but he had the apple care plan. i don't know whether he had to pay any sort of basic fee or anything.

anyways, it's really good to be fully back on the internet. i'm so happy the computer's fixed and yes it did suck for a while. ;)

$318. When I read something like that, I think about the new processor I could've bought, or the extra RAM, or a third lcd monitor for my rig. I just can't imagine spending that much for someone's labor.

Hey, I'm glad you got it fixed though. The world sucks without internet.
