my raw vegan diet will get me through europe!

July 8th, 2005

I’ve been on a strict vegan for the past several weeks now and I’m doing fine. Now, I’m trying to go “raw foods” as much as possible. The bartender at The Bistro is the only other vegan I know in real life, and she’s an advocate for a raw foods diet.

Anyways, with the upcoming trip to Europe weeks away, I’m finding out that the food in Europe is ultra-pricey! But that won’t be a problem for me since I’ll just be ordering garden salads and buying fruits and vegetables from local markets. Also, the local nuts and seeds shouldn’t be too expensive.

Whole wheat bread is going to be the hard thing to drop with this Raw Foods diet. So, for now I’ll stick to eating my veggie sandwiches. At least the raw fruits and vegetables are a much cleaner alternative to junk food and will give me lots of energy while in Europe.

And I must remember to bring my yoga mat!
