i didn't know where to leave this msg but i just read your blurb on RBJ turning 5 yrs old. just wanted to say thanks, and that it really has grown a lot -- even in my short time with RBJ, i've seen the membership grow by almost a thousand members! RBJ helped me go beyond xanga to read a lot of other people. i really appreciate that. (and i totally dig what you wrote about feeling caught in the middle between two cultures. i've felt that way myself too often to remember, but it was so hard for me to put it into words...)

YES! that sounds like what i'm doing. i eat lean meats with huge bowls of raw veggies or salads, i used olive oil and things like that. good fats. i'm so glad that health wise your body is adjusting to it well! (it's thanking you for it too!)

Annie: ah. anniversary. well have a nice little trip/adventure! and yes, that is amazing how you suddenly get more energy and needing less sleep.

i know an old 70-something year old man i see at the YMCA and he eats a raw foods diet. i don't remember him being strict vegan like me, but he ate a large salad with chicken or turkey breast, or some fish/seafood. but he did emphasize a raw foods diet.

since changing my diet i've had more energy while performing on piano or drums. and i don't really get all that tired after the gigs, not like before. so, i think we're on the right track. ;)

paula: thanks! it's kinda of like a little sanctuary garden now. i should place a stone buddha somewhere to symbolize tranquility. :)

booyahman: thanks, but i'm not really a pro at it. i just go by trial and error. i've made a lot of mistakes in the past. but it's nice to maintain and have a little sanctuary to relax and reflect. and thanks for the advice on the azaleas. :)

yup, dr! wilbur got us a package thing down there for like 5 days. it's his anniversary gift to me. ummm i haven't even thought about a anniversary gift at all. :-( am i a bad gf? i also don't have much money to get him anything and it makes it really hard during times like that. oy.

today is the 3rd day i think how i changed my diet. been eating nuts, raw veggies, lots of water and more hummus type stuff. i make sure i'm careful how i cook things too. (trying to eat as healthy as possible!) :-D i've noticed a HUGE burst of energy and i don't quite need as much sleep as i did before. ;-)

there are some hino crimson azalea bushes around my house. very beautiful very bright red bloom. i think it's an early bloom tho, and it's not a continuously blossoming flower. but when it does, wow!

you sound like you're a pro at this gardening thing! where did u learn?

how have you been? i've been away from blogging... well other than my one or two posts because i was home... which means dial up. which means i had literally no time to read other people's journal because my connection would fail on me right when i start to read. :-)

but i'm back! but leaving again soon! (for dominican republic) i've been eating more raw foods too... just healthier. i read about how horrible processed foods are and nearly disgusted myself with it! hehe but yeah trying to be healthier and wilbur too... making him eat that stuff too! :-D
