in spirit
and devotion
one finds peace
like a small lake made still
it’s mirror-like surface
reflecting the beauty
of the soul…
peace and love
will find those who
follow the inner path
stillness
will conquer those
ill-thoughts and misbegotten
deeds…
peace will arrive
love will persevere
have faith, hope
and fervent devotion…
surrender to the stillness
and you will find your way…

annie: thanks. i’m doing okay. busy 4 days starting today w/gigs. i’m glad. tonight is jazz at the la jolla museum of contemporary art. i’ve missed ya too… how are things going in NYC?

nyc is good. school’s a little rough, i’m doing so much work esp. for profs… then they take it and the credit for it in their stupid book with nothing about me doing the work. boooooooooooo
but i’m good overall, everything in my life is very peaceful… except school. but my bf and i are well, friends are well… no drama, is a happy mama! :)

the mini-concert at the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art went reasonably well. we’ll be back there next month. the acoustics were a bit echoey, making it a little hard to hear, but it was okay.
man, PhD work is tough. i wouldn’t really know but i remember my bro-in-law going through that. i wish you well. i’m sure you’ll do fine. when do you plan to finish.
my family and i are doing reasonably well. we’re totally broke after our euro trip… seriously… we didn’t have much money this week, so we really had to do some penny pinching. like, digging up lots of change for our cafe soy mochas! :)
but, doing okay and lots of activity and busy-ness…
