remembering seawind

October 5th, 2005

seawindOne of my favorite groups, Seawind, has a website. I had forgotten about this group and after 23 years of silence I discovered they had gotten back together again for a few concerts.

Check out their 1979 and 2005 group photos!

Anyways, I ordered one of their rare CDs called Remember, which was a bit expensive because it’s um… rare and out-of-print, but I think it’ll be worth it to hear their music again. I have their first album on vinyl but I have no turntable.

They’re basically a jazz-funk-pop band originating from Hawaii, with a Christian message, but as a musician I had really been inspired by their musicianship, AND I used to have a major crush on the band’s lead vocalist, Pauline Wilson, who was born and raised on the big island of Hawaii.
