Hast thou attuned thy being to Humanity’s great pain, O candidate for light?
The Voice of the Silence

If one were a billionaire (rich beyond most people’s wildest dreams of material fulfillment), and knowing that somewhere around the world multitudes were dying because of famine, disease or natural disaster, it would seem most illogical and unfortunate that one couldn’t find it in his/her heart to give at least a small portion of his/her vast wealth so that the suffering of others would cease.

And how much is too much where one can’t give a little bit to help those in need?

      here’s my thought: somewhat like when someone is in school, there is a shading from reality that happens, the real world isn’t as real as it might be for other people…as a result, those who have vast amounts of money may feel so distant from the problems that, even though they may feel aware of the situations, might just push it off as someone else’s problem …
