Love Actually in a Headstand

“…but for now, let me say - Without hope or agenda - Just because it’s Christmas - And at Christmas you tell the truth - To me, you are perfect - And my wasted heart will love you…”

I had a very good 1 hour yoga session this morning. It felt like it went smoothly and the time flew by fast, probably because it was only half as long as the 2 hour session yesterday.
The headstand felt great, though it didn’t feel as solid as yesterday. There are times when I feel I am balanced very well… like the Rock of Gibraltar. Other times I’m a bit wobbly. Today was pretty good, but I could’ve been more firm on the headstand.
Many times during headstand, I can feel the blood leaving my legs, and I always get a “head rush”!
Sirsasana (headstand)

Yesterday, I did a 2 hour yoga session at home, which included meditation in the lotus posture. I felt a deep inner peace and tranquility. Although, later on I felt depressed and quite melancholy. So, yesterday was a quandry of sorts…
But it felt good to focus on the headstand (sirsasana) and some variations of it. The photo to the left is the bound angle headstand. I’m quite comfortable at doing the headstand, and it feels rather rejuvenating. Will try to do another 2 hour session later on this morning.

I’ve realized that I haven’t been “online” much in December, because I’ve been more busy in real life lately.
So, finally I’ve had the chance to “really” surf around the Web and found out via the RBJ Discussion Board that Rice Bowl Journals was actually the “top pick” on Yahoo! Picks for December 8th, 2005! And here’s the actual week-in-review at Yahoo! Picks.
And RBJ also has a special Podcast (on iTunes) along with an RBJ Podcast Blog. Awesome!
christmas

Christmas was both fun and hectic. The usual family get-togethers, with lots of laughs, drama, movies and errands. I’m tired.
As far as I know, I only got one gift, which was a calendar of Rome with some postcards. But that’s okay. Nowadays, my Christmas wishes are not for material things… but just to be loved and appreciated. And it’s really as simple as that! Did I get my wish? Well, yes… and no…

I’ve been playing piano since age 5, and here’s a photo of me at my first piano recital in Bremerton, Washington at age 6 or 7. Well, I spent 1st and 2nd grades in Washington.
I found the photo while browsing through some old entries. It’s really neat to look back at old entries to see where one has been in the past, or had done. I found some really memorable journal entries from my Big Time Operator days:
Had some really great gigs as a musician.
And had some not-so-great gigs as well!
There was a day when the band’s “school bus” caught on fire, and we were stranded in the desert.
I performed at Barbara Sinatra’s tribute event to honor the late, great Frank Sinatra.
Remembering that 1999 was not a good year for me. And May 20, 1999 was not a good day!
And I’ve had moments where I’d felt utterly inept.
But I’ve had some nice moments as well…
And the journey continues…..
5 random facts about me
December 20, 2005 by randomguru · 3 Comments
Um. This might sound strange, but I’ve been infected… by Alaysia! *hehe*
And now I must list down 5 random facts about myself:
1. I like chick flicks! There, I’ve said it. Favorites are Serendipity, Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally, and even Sense and Sensibility.
2. I love ToDo Lists… they help keep me organized!
3. Sometimes, I really love stargazing and should’ve been an astronomer. I know where Mars and Jupiter are located in the Winter sky, for instance. But ironically I don’t own a telescope.
4. There is a piece of 8mm film lying around somewhere in my parents’ house, that shows me in my pajamas, singing and dancing around the Christmas tree during a special yuletide show. Unfortunately, I was the tallest and oldest kid there. It was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. Someone could successfully blackmail me with that!
5. I have a real fear of rollercoasters!
And now I pass the infected baton to: Alex, Cami, Shy, OneBear, and Rasee!
