At first I couldn’t understand the idea why people would want to be mean and leave nasty comments or emails. I am beginning to realize that now, that when you have a site for some time, that the site may be visited by those who have only negatives intentions and motives. It can be very disheartening to encounter such people. It’s just like in other aspects of your personal life. We have to protect ourselves. And it does take time to really get to know a person or to even trust.
thanks for your thoughts, Zaya. it’s sad that some people just want to ruin the experience for everyone else with their rude comments.
the comment spam dilemma is a really big issue too. comment spam is evil. so, it’s better this way although having to moderate comments is a little bit of a hassle.
