a sense of peace…

I feel a sense of peace
The hummingbird
glides about just outside
my window amongst the
hybiscus flowers
The sunlight
reflects its glow
off the gardenia leaves
The air is crisp
and the sun casts its
warmth onto plants
and trees and flowers
Incense burns
as the music of the
Far East beckons to me
A vase of flowers
sets the mood of tranquility
The quietness
of my surroundings
reflects the quietude within
Is life but a dream?
Sometimes
with the beauty that exists
to behold around me
and the immenseness of
this universe, it’s no wonder
life appears to be a dream…
I can gaze up into
the clear blue sky and
see the infinite…
