Valentine’s Day Letter No. 1
January 30th, 2006if i didn’t know you
where would i be?
lost in the memory, perhaps
of an old song
or, walking along
a lonely path, overlooking
the sea…
would you just be
a faint vision in my dreams?
or a vague memory
from a distant past…
always waiting…
dwelling in a land
i created in my mind?
but i feel as though you’ve
been with me all along…
and that is what
i have felt all this time
the beauty of
your spirit, that captured
me, long ago…
…had become
a part of me, ingrained
in my heart and soul…
as if cast in a spell
of being loved, and
giving you my love
in return…
