towerMy son’s “Leaning Tower of Pisa” photo was featured (along with others) on Flickr Funnies… hilarious!

From the Flickr Funnies site:

“No longer faceless, I bring you those responsible for keeping the lovely “Leaning Tower of Pisa” stable and upright for generations to come. Without their tireless efforts, around the clock, day after day, year after year, this wonderful architecural masterpiece would have fallen eons ago.” —Flickr Funnies

all vegan shopping

Tuesday, 28th March 2006

Over the weekend, I visited a little shop called All Vegan near the corner of Adams Avenue and Park Blvd. near Hillcrest.

I bought my first pair of “vegan” shoes. I’ll have to go back there for a non-leather belt. But the pair of shoes I bought cost just a little over $30.00, made of hemp, and you can just slip into without having to tie shoelaces.

I got a free CD-ROM from them, and there are some audio and video files about the whole vegan movement. The video was just awful to watch… showing pigs, cattle and chickens being killed, showing their deplorable living conditions and how they are treated very badly by the workers. I couldn’t finish it! I started out becoming a vegan for health reasons, but am now convinced that I do it because I am also against the cruelty to, and killing of animals!

the hallelujah diet

Tuesday, 28th March 2006

It does appear that The Hallelujah Diet is completely vegan… and raw. Dr. George Malkmus was diagnosed with colon cancer back in 1976 and somehow, with his diet, has survived it so far.

Of course, I am always skeptical about diets that I discover. But for Christians who are approaching a raw and vegan lifestyle, this diet maybe the answer to one’s prayers… and worth finding out more information about it.
