The Journey Of An iPod…
March 7th, 2006Remember back when i lost my Best Buy gift card in the parking lot, and somebody used it?
My son’s iPod was accidentally left on the train in Santa Barbara when he went there, and somehow it ended up on a park bench in Paso Robles where a young girl found it and kept it for herself. but she asked her friend to charge it for her. then the friend said it wasn’t right for her to keep it, that they should make an attempt to find the owner.
So, they saw that the iPod had my son’s full name in it. and they did a search on dogpile.com and found my Mom’s address/phone number. so they phoned my Mom, then my Mom phone me, and they spoke to my son on the phone telling him they found his iPod!!!!!
Anyway, they sent his iPod back to him via UPS, and it arrived just the other day! and we just sent the boy a thank you card and an iTunes gift card as a reward for finding and returning my son’s iPod!
Wow… there are still some honest people in this world… I was so touched by that gesture… that random act of kindness!
It definitely makes up for the lost gift card from Best Buy!

that’s so awesome to hear about honesty, b/c the reality is that it does happen, even if it’s not that often.

Sophia: you are so right. i didn’t mean to sound like i didn’t trust hardly anyone in this world. but i’m so glad that people will do this act of honesty and kindness…

Someone stole my binoculars in Washington, D.C. I trust that he contracted pinkeye or something.
But yeah, honest people are true gems.
Hello. =]

Pat: Yep… sometimes i’m such a pessimist, more so than i used to be… but, this definitely makes me have more faith in people in general.
