sick…

I’ve been sick with flu-like symptoms these past few days…

It started on Thursday night when I was playing piano at The Bistro. It was rough, having the sniffles and having to wipe my runny nose. Usually, I can play piano for 4 hours without taking a break. This time, I had to take several breaks, to run off to the restroom to blow my nose.

It felt very embarrassing, thinking that people were noticing. And, it was very difficult concentrating on my performance. *Sigh* What a rough night that was.

So, I didn’t go to the gigs on Friday and Saturday, nursing myself back to health…

But I have to play tonight at the corporate function with the big band. I think I’m well enough now to do so, plus I desperately need the money.

thanks so much… the corporate gig was rough, but i got through it. it was a major rock concert type event so i have to play harder and really put on a show. i was really exhausted when i got home, but at least it was a much higher paying gig.

thanks, annie! i’m beginning to feel better. but i’m really wiped out from last night’s corporate gig.
