reasons for being in arizona

April 15, 2006 by randomguru

Today, we’re in Scottsdale, Arizona.

We’re staying at a really nice four star hotel, and at such a decent price because, well, who actually stays in a hotel on Easter Weekend? So, yes, fortunately we got a great deal through Travelocity.com.

I have to perform with the big band at a wedding reception later today, at another hotel. We were going to stay there but at $500 per night, well… not worth the convenience of being in the same hotel.

But I’m only 22 minutes away now, and I don’t have to be there until later this afternoon, so I just need to rest up.

It’s a little weird mixing business with pleasure, but since I was heading out here, I thought it might be nice to bring the family along too… and see the Grand Canyon, Sedona and other places.

It was very, very windy yesterday… and today it is very calm.

Hi, I was the girl who couldn’t log in before (debbietal@gmail.com). Pari, whom you quoted, is a very old fren of mine back in Primary school and we only got reunited recently thru a mutual friend :) She got me intro. to Rice Bowl. Very interesting concept. Thanks for quoting Pari, she’s very happy :) Tot I’d drop by to write a mail and thanks for getting me into the site. And hope you have a good week. :)

it was a short vacation and work trip. performing at weddings far away from home can be a bit stressful, especially when you don’t know the area. But it turned out well.
