dreary saturdays and gas prices
April 22nd, 2006I woke up at 9:30am today. And, I was slow to get started… by the time my wife and I headed out the door to do errands, it was already 12:30pm. When we got back it was already 4:30pm. It’s been rather cold and dreary here in San Diego. So far, we’ve stayed in and watched some movies… “Mrs. Henderson Presents…” and “Pride & Prejudice” (again).
No gigs this weekend because I’ve made a decision not to perform gigs for such a low amount. Now that gas is $3.00 plus per gallon, I really can’t take any work for less than what I deserve. It’s ridiculous. I’ve been performing there for 6 years and no raise! That’s terrible. So, I’m looking for better paying gigs… and not driving the car as much…

6 years and no raise? That blows. I hope you get better paying gigs in the future. You deserve that at least.
And I am so glad I don’t have a car… to worry about those nasty gas prices and whatnot. Then again it’s dangerous driving in Korea…

Hi Tara! It’s just this “one place” which i shan’t mention… but, other bands i perform with have raised their pay to me.
it’s necessary because of inflation.

I’m glad to see that other places are doing that. Can I go whack that one place for ya? XD Hahaha.
… Inflation … speaking of raises, I got mine too… like a $1.50 more though. Some raise haha XD.
