streamlining the code…

May 17th, 2006

Rice Bowl Journals has really gotten more “hits” than usual these past few days.

There was a corruption in the databases, possibly from something I coded a while back and now has surfaced.

Also, according to our webhost, the RBJ Store has received the most hits, thus putting more of a load on the server. This most likely has to do with many of the store’s search pages being indexed by Google.

So, I am hard at work trying to streamline the existing code. And finding out ways to re-code more efficiently and without having to “query” the databases as much.

And so far, the front page has “zero” queries, if you check at the bottom of the page. That’s a good start… I’m rather proud of that one.
