In My Mind’s Zen Garden

I’m taking a hiatus still, from RBJ. This means that I won’t be adding new members for a while, and I won’t be on the forums. And I’ll give you my reasons:

1. Regarding the forums, I feel I haven’t been an effective leader over there. It’s just that I feel like an old-timer who isn’t taken all that seriously. So, taking a break would probably do me and everyone a bit of good anyway.

2. I’m at a point where I need to re-focus on music. Particularly, practicing… drum solos, practice sightreading again, plus practicing piano again (which I haven’t been doing), and also to focus on recording some original material… I need to work more on my myspace music page too.

3. I’m getting a little disillusioned with RBJ in general. Maybe I need to step back and see what else can be done with the site, taking a break and coming back at a later time when I’ve cleared my mind of things.

4. And sometimes I just feel tired of webmastering and coding… and just do something else for a while.

Anyway, being busy with RBJ has kept me from visiting many of my favorite online journalers and bloggers with greater consistency. In the future, I think that’ll be one of the things I’ll focus on… being able to read others and posting more comments.
