recap on the weekend’s gigs
June 25th, 2006On Friday, I did an out-of-town gig with Big Daddy Orchestra at the Kellogg House, on the campus of Cal Poly Technic University in Pomona. Didn’t get home until 2:30am.
On Saturday, did a private party with jazz/blues vocalist Nena Anderson, at a very awesomely designed house in Point Loma… fantastic modern architecture. The only problem was that I had to carry all my drums and things up two flights of stairs, as the house was situated on a hill.
On Sunday, did another gig with Big Daddy Orchestra (actually a quartet) at Jack’s in La Jolla, and got to play some real jazz… ah, thank God… finally.
And now I’m feeling beat up…

You’ve had quite a hectic musical weekend. And a workout too from carrying all your drums up the stairs. Hope you have a more relaxed weekday. Best wishes!
