A Variation On Psalm 121
July 19th, 2006Life is truly a gift, and each moment is a blessing… And one day we will pass on so we have to make the most of each moment in our life. And thus, I can understand the beauty found within a moment…
Though my spiritual readings point to the East, I still continue to study Christianity, about the life of Jesus Christ, and watch old movies like “Ben Hur” and “The Ten Commandments”.
One of my favorites from The Bible is Psalm 121. But sometimes I really feel I could re-interpret it (slightly) to suit my own understanding of it. Below is my variation of Psalm 121.
. . . .
Psalm 121
I lift my eyes to the hills;
from where does my help come?
It comes from God,
who made Heaven and Earth…
He will not let me stumble nor fall,
Behold, He who watches over me will never falter…
For He who watches over us
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over me,
He is the shade that cools me…
The sun will not harm me by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will guide me,
He will preserve my soul.
He will watch over me wherever I may wander,
now, and for all eternity…
. . . .
I wish everyone much joy and happiness… may you all live long, fruitful lives blessed with much love, peace, compassion and understanding… this is my prayer and meditation at this very moment…
