Sometimes…
August 8th, 2006Sometimes. I don’t know what to write here anymore. I mean, sometimes I feel burnt out regarding the whole blogging and online journaling scene.
Maybe I’ve been doing this long enough and it’s time to either go on an extended hiatus, or just keep a low profile.
I don’t think I would ever quit, but at the moment my heart doesn’t seem to be into it.
Maybe it’s because everybody and their grandmother has a blog nowadays. Perhaps the common-ness of having a blog or journal gives me the feeling that it’s no big deal now.
And in the old days, when I felt I was part of a small niche of people willing to pour their heart and soul online… willing to expose and document a life on the world wide web.
And, perhaps it’s always best to take a break and give it a rest.
Maybe I’ll come back re-charged and with a new inspiration to write. I really do feel that my heart’s not in it lately……
So, we’ll see…..

A break sounds good… sometimes that’s the solution to everything one gets tired of.

“Maybe it’s because everybody and their grandmother has a blog nowadays. Perhaps the common-ness of having a blog or journal gives me the feeling that it’s no big deal now.”
I myself have always wanted to be different and I can definitely relate to this statement. I guess it’s inevitable that people would catch on to a wonderful thing such as the Internet.
I don’t know what to write a lot of the time as well… much to my chagrin I usually end up going outward as opposed to inward.
Anyways, I hope you find the inspiration you may or may not be looking for!

oh, no. don’t say that. and, yes, pLease take a break.
i, too, sometimes feeL that way.
but, now, iM into surveys on myspace, especially when it’s really slow in the ER around 4-6am. LOL.
iVe been blogging since 1997 or so and iM on various servers.
each one is different and i wouLd not visit the other ones for a month or more.
it just depends on my mood.
just make sure you don’t “burn out.”
the web can’t afford to loose you.
have a great weekend ^_^

I was in the process if writing a post today. I was marveling at how people never run out of things to say. Then I read this post and thought, “Hey, even Carlos gets tired of this too, but he always knows how to put it into words.”
I, on the other hand, have almost lost that touch with how words transcend what I feel. Maybe, if I don’t take care of whatever’s left of the connection, I’d stop writing.
Let’s not hope it doesn’t happen. Maybe I’ll take an advice from you. A hiatus sounds good.

Just hang in there Carlos!
I think after awhile blogging does get draining. Especially nowadays when there are so many bloggers out there, and the unknown of who exactly is reading your blog.

i am tired too of blogging. my life has become rather boring and yet busy. when grandma’s blog is spiffier and way more interesting than your own, you know it’s time to move on.
a break is good. but i hope you will come back to blog soon. i will wait for you. in the meantime - i will miss you.

hey carlos,
take your time, but don’t disappear! you are one of the most inspiring journalists out there and i would have to see you go.
