Hmm…

family at todai restaurantHere’s a recent photo of me and some family members at a local all-you-can-eat Japanese Restaurant.

I’ve been somewhat depressed lately, but have been trying to keep myself busy with various projects. We recently gave my oldest son this nice bonfire birthday party at the beach. It was fun but a LOT of work, though it was good excercise, until I found out I had some sciatic nerve problems (basically pain shooting from my lower back and down my left leg). But although I had a hard time sleeping because of the pain, I woke up and it was gone! The did some yoga and felt even better.

I hate to be reminded of how less-than-perfect I am. I mean, I already know that. Why kick a guy when he’s down?

bonfireAnyways, I hope everyone is doing okay out there. I’m going through some “stuff” but I keep my chin up and I try to meditate and do yoga. Other than that, I know life can be a lot of suffering. But we press on and we strive to be alive.

Summer 2006 is pretty much over, and Fall will hit us soon. I need to find more time to contemplate and reflect, meditate and continue to practice yoga.

I dream of going to India… Nepal… The Himalayas… and Tibet…

Aw, I’m sorry that you are feeling depress… maybe it’s just because summer ended? I’m sure many others feel that way!
