military stages a coup in thailand

September 20th, 2006

First off, my thoughts and prayers go out to all my online friends in Thailand who have to experience this firsthand. I pray that events will continue to remain essentially peaceful and non-violent.

Of course, whenever the military of any country stages a coup to overthrow the current leader and government, that’s a very serious matter. I couldn’t even begin to imagine if a military coup like that would happen on American soil. I would definitely be traumatized and shellshocked, like many were when 9/11 occured.

We just hope that anything like this anywhere will resolve itself by peaceful means…
