going to college…

Not me, but rather, my oldest son has applied to several universities and was accepted to three so far! *woo hoo*

Permit me to be the proud papa for a moment and announce that my son was accepted to the following universities: San Diego State, UC Merced, and UC Riverside.

He actually applied to all the UC campuses but the remaining universities will let us know around the end of March. It’s a long shot because of the rigorous admission standards, but we’re hoping he’ll get accepted to UCLA, UC Berkeley or UC San Diego. He ideally would like to go to UCSD since it’s right here in San Diego, of course, and he may just do the TAG program if he’s not accepted. But, being accepted to other UC campuses provides some great options, plus is a great self-esteem booster for my son.

Anyway, I’m just glad he got accepted to a few universities, and my wife and I are proud of him for his hard work. And now to figure out how to creatively finance this adventure! *sigh*

      Congrats from me too! My kids (the first 2) started at the University and never finished. But, they have skills that should help them with their careers. ( at least I hope so ) The third kid just turned 16 so I have a couple of years till she goes off to college.
