pauma valley country club
February 26th, 2007Yesterday I performed at the Pauma Valley Country Club, drumming for singer Donnie Finnell.
Donnie and keyboardist Gary Wilson performed a wedding reception in Malibu last night, so I was wondering how they would hold out for this Sunday Brunch gig. They did fine, and we started on time. I was worried myself because Pauma Valley is almost an hour drive and we started at 10am. I did fine, but today I’m feeling quite tired. Haven’t performed a Sunday Brunch gig in a while.
They loved us, and they want us back. So, it looks promising that we’ll gig there again. Once again, those old classic Sinatra tunes went over well, like “Fly Me To The Moon”, “The Way You Look Tonight”, and “Beyond The Sea”.

Oooooo! Sounds lovely! We had brunch at our wedding too, the following morning, but no band. Would have been a lovely thought though, but it never struck us. *sigh*
