12 Albums That Changed My Life

May 12th, 2007

I was thinking about all the essential recordings that really made an impact in my life, and influenced and inspired me as a musician. And I came up with twelve albums that I have played repeatedly, from first track to last, and I never get tired of listening to them.

Here are the 12 albums that have changed my life:

[ left to right, top to bottom ]

1. Milton Nascimento (Milton) ~ 2. Chick Corea and Return to Forever (Where Have I Known You Before) ~ 3. Keith Jarrett (The Koln Concert)

4. Led Zeppelin (Led Zeppelin IV) ~ 5. Weather Report (Heavy Weather) ~ 6. Igor Stravinsky (Petrouchka and Les Sacre Du Printemps)

7. Pat Metheny Group (Offramp) ~ 8. Ennio Morricone (Once Upon A Time in the West) ~ 9. Bharat Nepali Party (Himalayan Roots)

10. Bruno Walter and the Columbia Symphony Orchestra (Beethoven Symphonies No. 5 and 7) ~ 11. The Beatles (1) ~ 12. Santana (Welcome)
