boycotting american idol

Actually, I have no reason to watch it now, since the best singer of the competition has been eliminated, and I’m not really interested in watching the two remaining competitors.
I’ve realized it’s not a talent contest to seek out the best singer, but rather a popularity contest to find the next American Idol. It’s about an image, a look, about selling millions of CDs to the teenage market out there. So, the best singer is actually better off not getting an American Idol recording contract.
Anyway….
