a door closes, a window opens…
June 7th, 2007
So, one of the groups I’m currently performing in, Grapevine, has lost the regular Thursday night gig at the Lake San Marcos Resort. Oh well, sadly enough, all good things come to an end.
But on the bright side of life, more gigs have come my way. There’s the flamenco band, Flamenco Nova, which is doing a private party this Saturday….
And tomorrow…
Big Daddy Orchestra performs at Tio Leo’s once again!
So where a door closes, a window opens, right?
Okay, this saying may have actually been the original:
When one door closes, another opens. But we often look so regretfully upon the closed door that we don’t see the one that has opened for us. —Helen Keller
Anyways, you can always check out my full “gig schedule” at:
I’m fairly busy for June and July. August is a little slow so far but I’m sure gigs will come in.
As for September. It looks like a banner month already with five, count ‘em, FIVE wedding receptions! Boy, I’ll have to be sure to put a good deal of that money away for a rainy day.
Anyway, if doors close and windows open, then I’ll look at it positively and say, “I’ll fly out the window and up into the heavens! And soar!
Okay, now that sounds a little bit corny. But you get my drift…
Always keep a positive attitude.

Glad the other door opened at the right time! By the way, your name is in the text, but not in the band list on the Flamenco Nova site…

Someday, I truly hope to see you play live!!:-))
So glad your window opened and here’s hoping there’s always a window open for you to soar through, if it be your wish.
You will always be my guru! :-))
