I may have done this before somewhere, maybe on the RBJ Forums, but I need to update this anyway.

Recently, I was thinking of some of the things I wish I could have, like a new instrument or being able to take another trip abroad.

So, I’ve been working on this list of wants and wishes, most of them material things, but let’s face it, we are living in a material world and I am just a material boy!

Anyway, onto the list, which is in no particular order:

1. A new drum set.

I currently have two drum sets. One is so beat up isn’t not even worth playing, and the other is my current drum set used for working, which is pretty beat up right now. It’s more than 10 years old, though it still sounds great. But it would be great to get a new Sonor drum set, a drum brand I’ve always wanted to get.

2. A new digital camera.

Yep, I’m not too happy with my current digital camera. It’s an Olympus and the battery life is really short, which is frustrating. But I’ve always dreamed of getting a top-of-the-line (or close) Canon EOS or Nikon D40, or something of that caliber. Hopefully, I’ll get one soon because I’ve lost all inspiration to take new photos, seriously. That’s why I tend to just digitize old photos. But even those old photos would look so much better taken with a really great digital camera. So…

3. A trip abroad.

I’m sort of torn between where I’d like to go next. My wife wants to go to Asia and thus drop by The Philippines. This might be more of a priority and reality, being that she wants to visit her Dad in The Philippines for Christmas.

I personally am somehow guided towards Spain. I’m currently in a Flamenco band and it seems like other subtle things in my life are pointing towards Spain. So, I definitely would like to visit Europe once again and this time make sure we visit Spain, the country we bypassed back on our European trip in 2005.

But, I’d also love to do some trekking in the Himalayas. So, a few possibilities here…

4. A new black grand piano.

I’ve always dreamed of owning a Steinway grand piano. Though I would be happy with my 2nd choice, which is a Yamaha grand piano. I currently have no piano or working keyboard in the house. So, I haven’t played piano in months! But I really need some keyboard to keep playing. Ideally, it would be so nice to have a real grand piano.

5. A new laptop computer.

I already havee one, but being the geeky individual that I proclaimed myself to be, I need another computer. And laptops/notebooks have dramatically come down in price! So, we’ll see……

It’s all wishful thinking, after all.
