BREAKING NEWS: Evacuations ordered for Rancho Santa Fe and part of Lakeside. Contrary to earlier reports I-15 is NOT open for traffic. A report that Leucadia is being evacuated is unconfirmed.
This was taken from my TV showing the Evacuation Area in North San Diego County. It looks like the main danger area so far is south of Del Dios Highway and north of the 56 Freeway. I live south of the 56 Freeway and so far there hasn’t been a reverse 911 call for Scripps Ranch to evacuate, but I’m ready to go if the time comes.
The current news reports on TV right now mention that the fires are moving fast to the west into Rancho Santa Fe, Olivenhain, Fairbanks Ranch, and West Rancho Bernardo.
The fires are pretty much moving southwest right now.
