1:50pm update on fires…

October 22nd, 2007

BREAKING NEWS: Scripps Ranch added to mandatory evacuations, following Fallbrook in the north and Valley Center in the east. Solana Beach residents are advised to be prepared to evacuate.

Evacuation Centers in San Diego County

Also: Recommended evacuation of area south of Scripps Poway Parkway and east of I-15, and north of Miramar and Pomerado Roads.

This means that my area in Scripps Ranch is under “mandatory evacuation” right now! I’m debating on whether to wait for the Reverse 911 call or just leave….

Note: Mira Mesa High School Evacuation Center is at capacity. Recommended is Qualcomm Stadium.

If you have all your valuables ready to go, you should go now. IMHO
