my gig at fairbanks ranch
October 26th, 2007So far, I’m awaiting word from Jordano (flamenco guitarist) if we’ll be performing at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club tomorrow.
I guess I doubt it…
The Witch Fire had also burned through Rancho Santa Fe and Fairbanks Ranch, and further to the west threatening Del Mar.
So, I’m already thinking this gig is not happening.
But, I have a wedding reception gig downtown this coming Saturday, and that is definitely happening.
From my experience as a working musician, disasters always put musicians out of work. The worst was after 9/11. I didn’t go back to a regular working schedule until about a year later.
