First Day of NaBloPoMo

November 1st, 2007

Today marks the first day of National Blog Posting Month, or NaBloPoMo.

So, all I basically have to do is write one blog entry each day for the month of November.

Two months ago I would’ve thought it impossible to do, given that in September I had a grand total of 3 (count ‘em), THREE blog entries to my name!

But in October, much to my own dismay, I counted a grand total of 38 entries…. in October alone!

Well, most of those entries were a result of (and personal reaction to) the wildfires that ravaged San Diego County and Southern California.

But… where September left me feeling that I had writer’s block, October made me feel that I could easily write one entry a day for a month, and maybe even more than one entry a day, perhaps.

So, here we go.

I think that if I kept a list of certain topics I could easily write about, then I could work of this list and get some ideas for writing about something.

So, the things I could write about easily?

1. Well, I could easily discuss favorite movies, songs, jazz artists, classical composers.

2. I could write about my hobbies… coin and stamp collecting (sure to be very exciting and stimulating for my readers for sure *wink*)

3. I could take photos of various subjects and talk about them.

4. And there are my day-to-day happenings of family, friends and my musical experiences.

5. I could write essays on philosophy, politics, and life in general.

6. I could trash talk about celebrities.

7. I could write about my diet, my yoga practice, drumming, playing the piano.

Basically, as long as I keep an open mind about what’s out there for me to write about, then I really shouldn’t have a problem getting through this month, and writing an entry a day.

I’m at a good point where I think I might even write more than one entry on some days. Just jotting down random notes about my life, the blogosphere, or the world in general…

…the universe.

So, I think I’m off to a good start with my attitude.

Let’s just hope I can be consistent……………
