Strange Dreams…

November 2nd, 2007

I woke up early today (well, for a night person like me) so I thought I’d post an entry about a few strange dreams I had last night.

In one dream I was holding someone’s baby. I remember feeding her some baby food and rocking her to sleep. This was a short dream that ended with me walking around a room while rocking the baby to sleep and looking down at her face as she slept in bliss.

In another dream, I was in some kind of reunion with my brother-in-law’s family and relatives on my wife’s side of the family. We were in some kind of open grassy field. And I remember going back to the house to get my camera to take some family photos. Then I found myself searching for my camera frantically, and finally finding it.

In a third part of my dreams, I must’ve been some sort of paranormal psychologist or investigator. I remember going upstairs to this room and I had a colleague or friend with me. There were forces that were definitely affecting the room. For instance, I remember grabbing objects, like a baseball bat. Then some invisible force was trying to take the baseball bat away from me. Then when I was trying to leave the room, some unseen force was preventing me from opening the door to get out. I remember struggling with the door trying to force it to open. And eventually I was able to leave the room and head back downstairs. Once downstairs, I could hear the door opening and slamming shut rather violently, while there was obviously nobody up in the room. This was strange. There was some stairs leading only to that one room and nowhere else in this particular house.

There was a second part to this third dream. I found myself in this big warehouse and there was this one section of the warehouse that was sectioned from the rest of the building. Opening the door was extremely difficult as there seemed to be some invisible force trying to prevent me from opening it, but finally I got in to explore this section. There was an area that looked like a large work area… a huge rectangular work table with a computer in the center of it. Once again, there were invisible forces tugging at various objects we were holding or trying to hold. As if to try and take them away from us. And weird things were happening to the computer. We were trying to perform Google searches on this computer and the results were totally wrong. We would search for one thing, but the results were for something else. I was beginning to think that some paranormal forces were trying to tell us something, as if it were a Ouji board. Hehe… A digital, search engine Ouji board… how strange…

That sounds like it would be good scenario for a movie. Time to write a movie screenplay!

Anyway, pretty much after the third dream, I woke up early, with my heart beating a bit fast and hard. But, I’m okay. I actually fell asleep downstairs on the sofa, in front of the TV. I was watching “Shakespeare in Love”, or trying to and fell asleep in the process.

So, do you think these are rather strange dreams?

I seldom dream, or remember my dreams. So, for me, this is pretty significant.
