Things I still need to do this month:
Put up more Christmas lights and decorations.
Put up the fake tree (yes, fake. i like to save trees)
Buy Christmas cards and send them out.
Recording Session
I have another recording session with the Flamenco band tonight. I think this hopefully will be the last one. We’ve done all the tracks, and are in the mixdown process. It’s sounding quite good and I’m pretty satisfied with my performance. There are a couple of drum solos on the new album. So, that might interest some of you.
Tomorrow is another out-of-town gig in Ontario, CA. The problem with out-of-town gigs in the SoCal area (especially on a Friday) is that the traffic will be horrendous. I will have to leave extra extra early! So, it’ll be a long day, plus the bandleader requires that we get to the gig at least 2 hours before downbeat.
Trips This Month
I’m planning to go to Disneyland in a couple of weeks. This coincides with a business trip my wife is planning in the Anaheim area and is 5 minutes away from Disneyland. So… might as well go to the happiest place on Earth.
Still not sure if we are going to Santa Barbara for Christmas. We’ll see… I’m at the point (especially after that dreaded Arizona trip) where I’m not really in the mood to travel out-of-town for anything. But, I’m ending up doing so lately.
Either way, I just try to go with the flow……
A House Guest
My father-in-law is visiting us this month from the Philippines. And he said he’ll be staying with us for a couple of weeks. He’s lived with us before and also up the street where my sister-in-law lives. Anyways, I have a lot of planning and preparations to do, between family stuff and working situations.
And we’re still playing on the Midway on New Year’s Eve.
Gardening
I’m working hard to get the garden back in shape. It’s coming together. Lots of digging and planting new plants. Landscaping and creating new walkways, etc…
I’ve been mulching quite a bit as well. Getting lots of vegetable scraps from the kitchen and adding to the pile. Using coffee grounds, etc. I’m being very good in this area.
The garden is coming together but it’s still a work in progress….

Ontario?! That’s my stompin’ grounds! Is it a public affair or private? Hope the rain (again) doesn’t mess your trip too much, if the rain does come at all like they say!
Pat: we’re doing a corporate event at the Double Tree Hotel at 6:30 on Friday. sorry it’s not open to the public.
i sure hope it doesn’t rain tomorrow. along with the Friday traffic, i might have to leave 1pm.
