Trying My Best Isn’t Good Enough

Y’know… there are days like today when you just can’t seem to get it right. When the metaphor for today was the act of parking at the mall on a Saturday before Christmas, not being able to find a parking spot, always the one car behind the car that’s waiting for the car with the parking space to pull out of! Always a step behind… When this happens about 6x in a row, one is tempted to pull one’s hair out.

But, I’m trying hard to keep it together, despite last night’s grueling commute to and from the Inland Empire to some Corporate gig, in the rain… and falling asleep at the wheel on the way home at 3am in the morning.

So, all day today I’ve been dragging my feet, trying to feel good and feel energetic, when I’m dead tired from performing last night.

And now I have to do it again in a few hours. How will I handle it? I’ll definitely need lots of ginseng. And maybe succumb to drinking some coffee. We shall see…. Lord give me strength!

I only shop during 11 and 1PM (Mondays through Fridays) and make a strategic strike. I get (buy) what I need and skedaddle.

As you can see, I hate crowds, but I survive…
