American Idol Season 7
January 16th, 2008So, the Nielson Ratings ranked American Idol’s Season 7 Premiere at the top of the list, even though it was 4.2 million viewers short from last year.
Okay, I tried to resist the temptation, and I planned on personally boycotting American Idol this year because my favorite singer from Season 6, Melinda Doolittle, didn’t win. And, I’m still kinda-sorta bothered by it.
Needless to say, I succumbed once again to the invisible pull that American Idol has over many of us. And if you totally aren’t into American Idol at all, or never have been, kudos to you. I congratulate you. Myself? Surprisingly, I am weak. And when my wife has AI tuned in, I tend to gravitate away from my computer and check out the auditions.
Well instead of giving you this detailed synopsis of what went down last night, I’ll just point everyone to Rickey.org. Rickey is much more dedicated to the American Idol cause than I am. Matter of fact, he is totally into television… embraces it heart and soul, whereas I like to watch TV but mostly for watching PBS or movies on DVD. But if you want to get the lowdown on AI as well as other popular TV shows, then just check out Rickey.org… it’s already an outrageously popular site, and to have snagged the domain name, Rickey.org, helps too!
And here are a few of the more interesting auditions from last night:
Alexis Cohen Audition
Paul Marturano’s Stalker Audition For Paula Abdul
Brooke White Audition Following That Star Wars Chick

yep, even though i did watch the premiere, i’ve lost my enthusiasm for AI over the years.
