MyBlogLog Status: Problems Resolved…

February 13th, 2008

I initially joined MyBlogLog.com in January of 2007, and have always thought the idea and concept was pretty awesome. It’s a great service that helps promote one’s blog and interconnects it with many others in the blogosphere.

MyBlogLog is a social network for the blogger community that is based in part on interactions facilitated by a popular web widget that many members install on their blog.[1] Bloggers sign up for free accounts on MyBlogLog and can initiate a blog community for one or more blogs they author. Other registered members can subscribe to these communities, effectively bookmarking them for future reading and sharing them with their own contacts. —Wikipedia.org

So, when Yahoo.com had acquired MyBlogLog.com, I think that’s when the problems started for many of its users. For me, I found that my avatar had disappeared, and I couldn’t upload a new one, nor could I change any of the information in my profile. And I documented my problems in January 2008, and joined BlogCatalog.com.

I even contacted their customer service people and they pointed out a bug that had affected many other users, so all seemed lost at that point. And I became a member of their “bug club”.

So, just recently it looks as if MyBlogLog.com has resolved all the problems I’ve been having with their service. And although this is great news, I had deleted my old account (which had all my data and contacts) and I’m at a point where I have to start over again.

Nonetheless, in order to “reclaim” my blog I am required to add the following code in a new post, so here goes:

Undergoing MyBlogLog Verification

So, if anyone would like to “reclaim” me as a friend or contact, I would be overjoyed.

And now I’ll have to find a way to include the “recent visitors” code once again on my site.
