The End of Suburbia
July 14th, 2008Here’s an interesting documentary that focuses on the whole concept of Suburbia, especially since the rising costs of fuel and the drop in the value of housing have become a serious issue right now.
50% or more of the population had purchased homes quite far from their places of employment because gas was relatively cheap and homes outside the city were affordable as well. Could the current problems with gasoline and real estate present a major problem for today’s families?
A solution is to buy a Mini-Cooper or Toyota Prius, and move closer to your work, if you haven’t done so already. Otherwise, Suburbia or The American Dream might become just that… a dream.
