Google Custom Search Engine…

July 16, 2008 by randomguru

i love googleMost of you may have noticed that I’ve added Google Custom Search Engine to my blog, right up there near the top. I was never too thrilled with the old search thingy in my sidebar, but I was rather thrilled that Google had finally updated and improved on the search code that can be added to people’s sites.

Google Custom Search Engine is totally customizable, but I only need it to search my own site, though you can set it to search any number of websites you select.

I think it does a better job of searching my site than the old search tool did. Well, it’s made by Google, the supreme leader in search engine technology, so… might as well utilize the technology to better search my site, right?

I’m getting a kick out of searching for random entries written (what seems like eons ago, already) in the past. So, do check it out. You might find something interesting…

Google will conquer the world. I use Gmail, Google Talk, Scholar, Calander, Reader. @_@ i don’t know what i’d do if all this technology was not FREE!

    O-man: you’re spot on about that. ;o)

and it’s all FREE, thank God!

Hmm… I’ve never used Scholar before, but I do have Gmail, occasionally use Google Talk and the Google Reader.

Don’t really use the Google Calendar much because I’m using iCalendar on the Mac.
