A Raw Vegan Sandwich…

Raw Vegan Sandwich
A BLT Without the Bacon

Just a spur-of-the-moment pic of Sunday lunch for me… a raw vegan sandwich consisting of the following ingredients (all organic):

2 Slices of raw Sunflower Seed Bread (by Lydia’s Organics)
Tomato Slices
Various types of lettuce leaves
Alfalfa Sprouts
Avocado
Creamy Garlic-Cilantro Spread (yep, this is raw too)

Okay, this sandwich is great, although I would make it an open-faced sandwich and subract a slice. The sunflower seed bread can tend to be on the heavy side. But all-in-all this type of raw sandwich tastes extremely healthy and very refreshing on a Summer’s day. Though, next time I’ll use fresh watermelon juice rather than carrot juice. This is a pretty filling meal, so no need for anything else.

Barron: Yes, and it tastes really good too. ;o)

Although I truly confess that I sometimes miss Thai Curry, and of course, Filipino food.

I know I should be eating like you but every now and then I succumb to the temptation of Max’s Fried Chicken. There’s one in L.A. I think.

Max’s Fried Chicken would be very, very hard to resist… yes! ;o)
