Computer Issues…

September 10, 2008 by randomguru

A few friends of mine (both online and off) have been having certain computer “issues”. And I myself have had some problems.

One friend and colleague has been experiencing problems with pop-up ads coming from “SpyGuarder” advertising… to get rid of some spyware that has just downloaded onto his computer. Of course, the people at SpyGuarder probably infected his computer to begin with.

I’ve been having problems with Firefox, since I downloaded the latest version. Specifically, sometimes YouTube videos (or any videos for that matter) freeze up, and the problem is resolved when I either do two things: 1) reboot the computer entirely, or 2) quit Firefox and restart it.

Also, sometimes certain apps freeze up, but this one is pretty rare. I doing scans for viruses and spyware right now… *sigh* Windows! I don’t have any virus or spyware problems on my Macintosh computer, and I don’t even use any Anti-Virus or Spyware programs on it. The only problem with my Mac is that it’s pretty old now… circa 2003. But I could always use more RAM on it.
